Monsoon 2023, IMD Rainfall Alert: Light to moderate rains will occur over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh during the next five days.

Monsoon 2023 Update, IMD Rainfall Alert, Weather Update: It is scorching heat in various parts of the country including North India. People are eagerly waiting for the monsoon. The Meteorological Department has brought good news for such people. IMD has told that Monsoon will reach Kerala in the next 48 hours. That means it will start raining heavily. After this, gradually the monsoon will move from south to north India and other parts.

However, there is still havoc of severe heat in many states. Heatwave conditions will continue in Bihar-Jharkhand, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana for the next four to five days. Meanwhile, the cyclonic storm ‘Biporjoy’ has rapidly intensified into a severe cyclonic storm. This is expected to lead to a slow onset of Monsoon over Kerala and its weak progress further over the southern peninsula.

The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rains over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh during the next five days. Between June 7 and 9, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala on June 7 to 11, Tamil Nadu on June 7, Lakshadweep on June 9 to 11, and Karnataka on June 10 and 11 are going to receive heavy rains.

Talking about Northeast India, it is going to rain here for the next five days. Light to moderate rains will occur over Manipur, Mizoram on June 7-9, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on June 10 and 11.

Talking about the weather of the previous day, the maximum temperature in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, East India, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana was recorded between 40-42 degrees, while the temperature in Northeast India, Bihar and West Bengal was three to five degrees above normal.

Heatwave conditions prevailed in states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana. At the same time, heatwave was also observed in West Bengal. The maximum temperature is likely to increase by two to three degrees Celsius during the next four days in the states of Northwest India except Rajasthan. After that not much change will be seen.
