Rain with thunderstorms is likely in Lakshadweep on October 18, in coastal Karnataka from October 18 to 23, while in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema on October 18, 22 and 23.
According to the department, storms with strong winds of up to 30-40 kmph are likely in many areas of South India over the next five days. On October 22-23, winds could reach 40-50 kmph in some areas.
