Red alert in Bihar, Rajasthan
Red alert has been issued in view of heavy rains and strong winds in Bihar and Rajasthan. Especially in North Bihar, there is a warning of thunderstorms with heavy rains from June 15 to 20. Strong winds and rain in Haryana-Punjab and hilly states

There is a possibility of heavy rains with lightning and strong winds in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh from June 16 to 19. Rain may occur at most places in Kerala and Mahe.

An alert of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in Guwahati for the next two-three days. The Assam State Disaster Management Authority has warned that this may cause waterlogging, disruption in traffic speed and landslides in some sensitive areas. Apart from this, heavy rains and lightning may also occur in Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim.
Heavy rain forecast in Konkan, Maharashtra, Gujarat
Thunderstorms are likely in different parts of Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat between June 18 and 21. Due to the activity of monsoon, waterlogging and traffic may be affected in these areas.
Monsoon movement and next phase
The Meteorological Department has also informed that the monsoon is now moving fast. It is likely to reach Raipur, Chhattisgarh by June 17. Orange alert has been issued in many parts of Chhattisgarh.
