Banks should send clear and phased notices to their customers to update KYC. This is the new rule
- Banks and financial institutions will now send at least 3 advance notices before the due date of KYC.
- One of these notices will necessarily be through letter.
- If the account holder does not update KYC on time, the bank will also send 3 reminder notices.
Let us tell you that this rule will have the greatest impact on those account holders whose accounts opened under programs like Jan Dhan Yojana, DBT / EBT scheme and whose KYC update is pending. Along with this, all the banks will keep all these notices as their records.
