The Meteorological Department has issued an alert and warned of heavy rains from 12 to 17 June. There is also a possibility of lightning and strong winds at many places.
The rainy season has started across the country. However, the monsoon has not knocked in all the states. Due to heavy rains, many parts of Northeast India have been flooded, causing a lot of trouble to the people. At the same time, people are in a bad condition due to the heat in the northwestern states. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Heavy Rain Alert. According to the IMD, there will be heavy rains at many places from June 12 to 17. There is also a possibility of lightning along with strong winds at many places.
There will be heavy rain in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of isolated heavy rainfall in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana during June 12-15. Heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala on 12th and 13th June, Karnataka during 12th-17th June, Kerala during 14th-16th June. Heavy rainfall is expected in coastal and south interior Karnataka during 12th-16th June and north interior Karnataka on 12th, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on 14th and 15th June. Heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra during 12th-17th June. Heavy rainfall is also expected in Marathwada during 12th-14th June. Heavy rain is also expected in some areas of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh during 13th-17th June. Delhi may also receive heavy rainfall during this period. Along with heavy rains, thunderstorms and lightning are also expected.
Light and moderate rain will occur in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, light/moderate rain is expected at many places in Kerala, Karnataka, Lakshadweep during the next 7 days. Light/moderate rain may occur at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana during 12-13 June. Light/moderate rain is likely to continue at some places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 7 days and light/moderate rain is likely at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha during 12-13 June with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds.
What will be the weather condition in Rajasthan?
At present, the weather of Rajasthan is such that people are suffering from the heat, but according to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Rajasthan during 13-17 June. Thunderstorms and strong winds are likely at isolated places in Rajasthan during 14-17 June.
