Rain Alert: There is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in the capital Delhi on 23 and 24 May. Due to which there is a possibility of relief from temperature drop and humidity. After this, it will be partly cloudy on 25 and 26 May, while light rain or thundershowers may occur on 27 May.
Rain Alert: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorm and rain in Delhi on 23 and 24 May. Due to which there is a possibility of relief from heat in the capital. According to the department, there is a possibility of partly cloudy sky with thunder and lightning on 25 and 26 May, while light rain or thundershowers may occur on 27 May.
Chances of heavy rain in Mumbai
The Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for 23,24 and 25 May in Mumbai. In which warning of strong winds and heavy rain has been given. This warning has been issued due to the low pressure system formed over the east-central Arabian Sea off the coast of South Konkan and Goa, which may intensify further in the next 36 hours.
Heavy rains are also expected in Kerala. The department has issued an orange alert in Kannur and Kasaragod districts from 24 to 26 May, Kozhikode and Wayanad on 25 and 26 May, and Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram on 26 May. Apart from this, a yellow alert has also been issued in various districts of the state from 23 to 26 May.
Heavy rain alert in West Bengal
Heavy rains are expected in the coastal areas of West Bengal from May 28, as a low pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department said that some districts of West Bengal are likely to receive rain accompanied by strong winds and strong thunderstorms during the next few days. In Telangana too, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for May 23, predicting the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning. Many places in the state have received heavy to moderate rainfall and such activities are likely in the next few days as well.
