Heavy Rain Alert: The rainy season in Northeast India is not going to end yet. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert. Know how the weather is going to be in other states of the country.

Heavy Rain Alert: The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light to moderate rain at many places in Northeast India for the next 7 days, while heavy rain is likely at some places for the next 5 days. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh on June 2, in Assam and Meghalaya between June 2 and 3, and in Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on June 2. Light to moderate rain is expected at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 7 days. Heavy rain is expected at some places on June 2.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain may be seen at some places in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Odisha during June 2 to 4. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds of 40–50 kmph at some places in West Bengal and Jharkhand on June 2.

Light to moderate rain with strong winds is expected in these states

There is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning at some places in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi from June 2 to 5. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with strong winds of 40–50 kmph in these states. Light to moderate rainfall is expected at sporadic places in Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of strong thunderstorms with a speed of 50–60 kmph in Jammu and Kashmir on June 2 and 3, Himachal Pradesh on June 3 and 4, western Uttar Pradesh on June 3 and eastern Rajasthan on June 2 and 3.

Heavy rainfall is expected at some places in Uttarakhand between June 2 and 4 and in Punjab and Haryana on June 3. There is also a possibility of dust storm at some places in western Rajasthan between June 2 and 4.
