Rain Alert: The Meteorological Department has forecast that it will rain in Northeast India for the next five days. Also, winds will blow at a speed of 40-50 kilometers per hour.

Rain Alert, Weather Update: The havoc of heat is being seen across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning in Rajasthan till April 18 and in Gujarat till April 17. Meanwhile, there is going to be relief from heat in the western Himalayan region, as Western Disturbance is going to knock, due to which there will be heavy rain between April 16-20. Out of this, there is an alert of very heavy rain on April 18 and 19. At the same time, a warning of rain, thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued in the plains of North West India between April 18-20.

Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, thunderstorms were seen in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand. Apart from this, hail fell in Telangana, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Meghalaya. At the same time, heavy rains were recorded in Odisha.

The Meteorological Department has forecast that it will rain in Northeast India for the next five days. Also, winds will blow at a speed of 40-50 kilometers per hour. There is also an alert of rain and thunderstorms in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh between 16-20 April. Apart from this, heavy rains will be seen in Bihar on 17, Assam, Meghalaya on 17, 20-22, Arunachal Pradesh on 20-22 April. Apart from this, hail will fall in Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha on 16 April.

Strong winds will blow at a speed of 50-60 kmph in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar on 17 and 18 April. Talking about South India, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka are likely to receive rain and thunderstorms in the next five days.

Apart from this, a new Western Disturbance is going to knock in the Western Himalayan region between 16-20 April. Due to this, there will be heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh in the Western Himalayan region on 18 and 19 April. On the other hand, talking about the plains of North West India, there is an alert of rain, thunderstorms and strong winds between 18 and 20 April. There is a possibility of dust storms in Western Rajasthan on 16 and in Eastern Rajasthan on 17 April.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in North West India is going to increase by two to four degrees Celsius during the next three days. The temperature in Central India will increase by three degrees in the next four days. At the same time, heatwave conditions are likely to develop in East Rajasthan on 16-19 April and in Gujarat on 16 and 17 April.
