Heavy Rain Warning: The weather in Northeast India is continuously harsh. Heavy to very heavy rains are occurring every day. Many areas are flooded. In more than 20 areas of Assam alone, houses and buildings have been submerged due to severe floods. Apart from this, people are worried due to heavy rains and strong winds in many other areas including Meghalaya, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim. The Meteorological Department (India Meteorological Department) estimates that heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the northeastern states today (June 4), while Meghalaya will receive extremely heavy rains. Many states of Northwest India are also likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains for a day or two.
Heavy rain continues in Arunachal Pradesh
Continuous heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh have caused floods. Many areas have been completely submerged. Continuous rains have led to fresh landslides and waterlogging across the state. More than 3000 people have been affected by floods in 23 districts of the state. According to a report from the State Emergency Operations Center, at least 12 people have died due to landslides and floods. More than 3000 people have been affected by floods and landslides in Arunachal Pradesh. Changlang is the worst affected district, where six villages have been submerged and 2231 people have become homeless.
Assam troubled by floods, 6.5 lakh people affected
Floods have caused devastation in Assam. Due to continuous rains, the water level rose in many parts of the state and new areas were submerged. Seven rivers, including the Brahmaputra, are flowing above the danger mark. The Meteorological Department estimates that heavy rains may continue in the coming one or two days. Its danger has increased further. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in Dhubri, South Salmara-Mankachar, Goalpara and Kokrajhar of Assam and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. About 6.5 lakh people have been affected by floods in 21 districts of the state.

Light to moderate rains may occur in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. There is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph at many places.
According to the Meteorological Department, on June 4, winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kmph in Himachal Pradesh. In some areas, the wind speed can also reach 70 kmph.

According to the India Meteorological Department, light to moderate and at some places very heavy rains may occur at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 7 days.
During June 4 to 8, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph at some places in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh.
There is a possibility of thunderstorms in Bihar, Gangetic plains West Bengal, Jharkhand on June 4 and 5 and strong winds of 50 to 60 kmph in Bihar on June 4.
Weather of South Peninsular India
On June 4, light to moderate rain may occur at many places over Kerala and Mahe, coastal Karnataka. Heavy to very heavy rain is also likely at some places.
During June 4 to 8, light to moderate rain is likely at some places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and interior Karnataka along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph.
