According to the Meteorological Department, warnings of rain and thunderstorm have been issued in Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh from March 16-19. Apart from this, there is an alert for rain between March 16-19 in the states of Northeast India.

There is a possibility of 16-20 spells of rain over East India. At the same time, a warning of rain, thunderstorm has been issued in Northwest India including the Western Himalayan region during March 17-19.

Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature in most parts of the country was recorded between 35-38 degree Celsius, while in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Northeastern states it was 30-34 degree Celsius. Talking about East and Northeast India, the Meteorological Department has told that it will rain in West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura between March 16. At the same time, a rain alert has been issued in Bihar-Jharkhand on March 17.

IMD issues warning to farmers

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding rain and thunderstorms in many states. The Meteorological Department has said that due to the weather activities, farmers are advised to harvest mustard, gram and vegetables in North, West and Central India. Immediately store wheat, mustard and pulses in Madhya Pradesh and wheat, pulses and grapes in Maharashtra at a safe place.
