IMD Rainfall Alert, Weather Update: The rainy season has ended in all the states of North India. It rained a lot in the last few days and now once again the temperature has started rising. However, heavy to very heavy rainfall warning has been issued for Andaman and Nicobar Islands due to Mocha cyclone. From tomorrow it will rain for the next five days. Apart from this, rain warnings have been issued in many states. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Delhi and western UP today.

According to the Meteorological Department, the speed of Cyclone Mocha will gradually increase in the Bay of Bengal. Its effect will be seen in Andaman and Nicobar. Issuing the warning, the Meteorological Department said, “There will be heavy to very heavy rainfall between May 8 and 12. Out of this, on May 8, 9 and 12, the pace of rain will be very fast. At the same time, winds will blow at a speed of 40-60 kmph in the Bay of Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, whose speed is likely to increase gradually.

On the other hand, talking about the weather of North West India, it will rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi on 7th and 8th May. There, there is a possibility of rain in western Uttar Pradesh on May 7. Apart from this, there will be hailstorm in Uttarakhand on May 7 and 8. Hail will fall in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab on May 7. In South India, Kerala, Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal will receive rain for the next five days. Of this, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will be held on May 7, while Kerala will be held in Mahe between May 9-11. Whereas, South Interior Karnataka will see heavy rains on May 10 and 11.

Talking about Northeast India, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya are going to see rain for the next five days. The Meteorological Department has told that the maximum temperature will increase by three to five degrees Celsius during five days in most parts of the country. Accordingly, the heat is likely to increase. However, no heatwave warning has been issued anywhere for the next five days.
