IMD Rainfall Alert: There will be heavy rains in the western Himalayan region for the next two days. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in many areas in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh in the next 24 hours.



IMD Rainfall Alert, Weather Update: Most of the states of the country are experiencing severe heat these days. Maximum temperature is being recorded above 40 degrees in most of the states. The weather is going to change in the coming days amidst the havoc of summer. The Meteorological Department has told that heavy rains are going to occur in the states of Northeast India for the next three to four days. However, heatwave will continue over East India for the next two days. States like UP, Punjab are also likely to get respite from the heat due to rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, areas of East India, East UP, Central India, Interior Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Rayalaseema recorded maximum temperatures between 40-44 degrees Celsius on the previous day. The temperature in the western Himalayan region remained between 12-25 degrees, while the rest of the region recorded between 35-40. Heatwave has been hitting Gangetic West Bengal for the last nine days, Coastal Andhra Pradesh for the last seven days, Bihar for the last six days and Odisha for the last four days.

The Meteorological Department has told that there will be heavy rains in the western Himalayan region for the next two days. Apart from this, rain is likely in many areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, activities of thunderstorms and lightning will also be seen. Apart from this, heavy hailstorm may occur over Uttarakhand on 20 and 21 April. Talking about Northeast, it will rain here for the next four days.

Rain alert in Bihar, Jharkhand as well

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya will receive heavy rains between April 20-22. Talking about Central India, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh will see light to moderate rains at various places for the next five days. Hail will fall in Chhattisgarh on 23 April. At the same time, states like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha may also receive light rains till April 21-24.
