Weather Update: Heavy rains are continuing in many states of the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the hill states. Along with this, there may be heavy rains in many areas of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. A red alert for heavy rain has been issued in some districts of Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of light rain in Delhi today.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rains in 8 districts of Uttarakhand. At the same time, the possibility of heavy rain has also been expressed in the neighboring state of Uttar Pradesh. Torrential rains continue in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. In view of the heavy rains, the administration has decided to close the schools from class 1st to 8th. The Meteorological Department says that the monsoon will remain active in North India for the next few days.

Apart from this, heavy rains have been predicted for the next three days in Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India. It will be cloudy today in the country’s national capital Delhi. Light rain or drizzle may occur. The Meteorological Department says that the maximum temperature of Delhi can go up to 35 degrees in the coming days.

Red alert in these districts of Uttarakhand

The situation is very bad due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand. The Rishikesh-Badrinath highway remained closed for nine hours on Wednesday due to heavy rains. Vehicular movement was affected here due to the debris coming on the road due to the landslide. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in eight districts of Uttarakhand today. These include Tehri, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar. Along with this, yellow alert has been issued in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Almora.

Weather condition in Uttar Pradesh

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of 26 degrees and the maximum temperature of 32 degrees can be recorded in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow today. At the same time, it may rain with thunder in Lucknow. Talking about Ghaziabad, today the minimum temperature here will be 25 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees. With this, it will be partly cloudy in Ghaziabad. Light rain may occur in some areas.

Weather condition in Bihar

There is a possibility of heavy rain in Bihar today. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in 23 districts of the state including Bihari’s capital Patna. East Champaran and West Champaran may receive rainfall above 204 mm. At the same time, an alert has been issued for rain above 115 mm in Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Purnia, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Supaul and Madhepura. Heavy rains may occur in capital Patna, Vaishali, Saran, Siwan Gopalganj, Kishanganj, Araria, Bhagalpur, Munger, Banka, Begusarai and Khagaria districts. Apart from this, the possibility of light rain has been expressed in some districts of the state.

Chances of rain in these states

There is a possibility of heavy rains in four districts of Madhya Pradesh. This warning has been issued for Dindori, Chhatarpur, Niwari and Bhind districts. Apart from this, moderate to heavy rains are expected over the northeastern states, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Konkan and Goa during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells very likely over many parts of Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh.
