Weather Updates: It is raining heavily in the country’s national capital Delhi. Due to which people have got great relief from the humidity. Heavy rains are continuing in the hilly states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Due to which destruction has been caused on a large scale. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh on August 21 and 22. An alert has been issued for heavy rain, storm and lightning in 10 districts of the state. On the other hand, the State Emergency Operation Center of Uttarakhand says that 80 people have become homeless after a landslide in a village in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand.
On the other hand, in Noida and the entire NCR including the capital Delhi, this morning (August 19) started with thunder and lightning. Soon this series turned into rain with strong winds. It is raining in most areas of Delhi-NCR since 5 am.
Waterlogging due to rain in Delhi-NCR
Due to rains in Delhi-NCR, there have been reports of water-logging in many areas. In many areas of Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, many areas have been waterlogged due to early morning rains. Due to rain in Delhi’s Dwarka area, waterlogging was seen on the roads. Talking about the temperature, these days the minimum temperature can fall to 27 to 28 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature can come down to 35 degree Celsius. A drop of 2 degrees can be recorded in the maximum temperature. August has recorded the warmest month this year with very little rainfall. At the same time, the maximum temperature has been recorded 3 degrees above normal.

Rain expected in the northeastern states for the next four days
In the Northeast, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh are likely to receive rain and thundershower for the next four days. The Meteorological Department says that there may be heavy rains in the sub-Himalayan districts of West Bengal from August 21-26.
The CMs of these states extended a helping hand to Himachal Pradesh which is facing the brunt of nature.
Rain continues to wreak havoc in the hill state of Himachal Pradesh. The rains in the past days have thrown life out of gear for the people of Himachal Pradesh. There has been a loss of crores of rupees in Himachal Pradesh. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has announced an amount of Rs 15 crore to help the victims of Himachal Pradesh. Earlier, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has sent Rs 11 crore and Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar Rs 5 crore.
Rain alert in many districts of Uttar Pradesh
Rain alert continues in many districts of Uttar Pradesh as well. In many districts including Noida, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Aligarh of western UP, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light rain today and tomorrow. Along with this, there are chances of rain in many districts of eastern UP. Rain activity may increase over the entire state from Monday.
