Prolonged exposure to cold can increase the risk of illnesses such as flu, runny/stuffy nose, or nosebleeds.

Don’t ignore shivering. This is the first sign of low body heat. Stay indoors.
Prolonged exposure to cold can cause frostbite. The skin becomes pale, stiff, and numb, eventually leading to black blisters on exposed body parts such as fingers, toes, nose, and earlobes. Severe frostbite requires immediate medical attention and treatment.
