Punjab Weather News Today: Due to the monsoon disaster, chaos has been created in many parts of the country. Punjab has received heavy rain since Monday evening throughout the night.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert on Tuesday in view of heavy rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Patiala, Sangrur, Mohali, Chandigarh, Gurdaspur, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar in Punjab and Ambala, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula and Yamunanagar in Haryana in the next three hours.

In the last 24 hours, Punjab, Himachal, Uttarakhand, West Rajasthan and some parts of Telangana have recorded more than 21 cm of rainfall. Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan also received very heavy rainfall (12-20 cm).

Due to heavy rains in Haryana, the Yamuna is flowing above the danger level, now the possibility of flooding in Delhi has also increased. Apart from NCR, schools have been closed in rain-affected areas of Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan until further orders.

According to the IMD, a new low pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal. In addition, the cyclonic circulation and trough line are active up to Rajasthan and Odisha-Jharkhand, due to which the rainfall area may increase further. For the next one week, the northwestern and western coastal states of the country will receive heavy rainfall.

The severity of the situation is evident from the red and orange alerts in hilly states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has made it clear that only caution and vigilance can reduce the potential damage in the coming days.

The condition of people in the mountains is also bad due to continuous rain, cloudbursts and landslides. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for many districts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, a warning of heavy rain has also been issued in Mumbai today. Here in Rajasthan, the condition of people is bad due to the rains that started in the third week of August. The situation in the southern, eastern and southeastern parts has gone out of control.
