IMD Alert: Weather changed, heavy rain in 17 states for 84 hours, thunderstorm alert, know details

Heavy rain is likely over parts of Gangetic West Bengal, East Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Jharkhand, Puducherry and Karaikal. Fairly widespread rain and storm may occur over Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and Interior Karnataka.


Weather Update Today/ IMD Alert: The weather of the country is undergoing changes. Now monsoon is becoming active once again. The effect of monsoon activity will be visible in three corners of the country. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, there are chances of change in weather in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana. Along with this, the monsoon line is currently passing through Jharkhand. Which will affect many states of Jharkhand. Rain warning has been issued in central, north and east Jharkhand.

Lightning and heavy rain including thunderstorms were predicted in 20 districts of Bihar, while an orange alert of heavy rain was issued in the eastern, southern and central parts of Jharkhand. The sky will be cloudy. A drop of 2 to 3% in temperature will be recorded. The rain is going to continue till 15th September. Significant changes are also taking place in the weather in Orissa and Telangana, Andhra. In view of heavy rains in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, schools have been kept closed at many places. A warning of rain including strong wind and storm has been issued in these areas.

Possibility of light rain in Delhi

Today, there is a possibility of light rain in Delhi, while there will be significant changes in the weather in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand also. Let us tell you that the line of monsoon is running near the foothills of the Western Shore Himalayas while its eastern end is falling towards the Bay of Bengal through Gorakhpur, Patna, Hazaribagh, Bankura. Rain, monsoon activity will increase in UP

On Tuesday, rain has been seen at some places in Purvanchal including one or two places in Western Uttar Pradesh. On September 6, a warning of thunderstorms with rain and lightning has been issued in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh, while till September 8, the weather will be critical. There will be changes and monsoon activity will increase once again in the entire state.

Weather will change in these areas

  • Warning of moderate rain has also been issued in Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Goa including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Royal Seema, Andaman Nicobar Islands. The sky will be cloudy and a two percent drop in temperature may be recorded. Along with this, these areas will also see heavy rain at some places for the next 7 days.
  • People of Haryana and Rajasthan may get some respite from the heat. The minimum temperature can reach 26 degrees while the maximum temperature can reach 34 degrees Celsius. It will be cloudy. With partly cloudy sky, humidity will be recorded up to 74% at some places.
  • Warning of moderate to heavy rain has been issued in Hyderabad, West Bengal, East Bihar, East West Central Jharkhand, Orissa, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh today. Heavy rains have brought significant changes in the weather in Hyderabad.
  • Light-moderate rain warning has been issued in Uttarakhand, Ladakh and Himachal today. There will be significant changes in the weather. Monsoon activity may increase in the next 2 to 3 days, while weather warnings have been issued in these areas from Thursday. Landslide problems may arise.
  • Here, the possibility of light rain has been expressed in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand, Ladakh. There will be significant changes in the weather. Along with this, once again the effect of Western Disturbance along with the activation of monsoon can also be seen in these areas.
  • Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rain activity will start over Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra. The weather may change in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra within two days. Light to moderate rains are likely to occur over parts of central Madhya Pradesh and East Madhya Pradesh on September 7 with isolated heavy falls.

Heavy rain in eastern states

In Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram including Arunachal Pradesh, heavy rain, thundershowers and thunderstorms have been predicted. The situation of thunderstorms and landslides can be created, at present the rainy season will continue for 3 weeks.

  • Heavy rain at isolated places with moderate rain at one or two places over Kerala, Interior Karnataka, Odisha including parts of South Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Maharashtra. Apart from this, forecast of heavy rain has been expressed in some areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand and Bihar.
  • Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms very likely over Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and Interior Karnataka.
  • Scattered rain and thunderstorms are possible over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and West Madhya Pradesh.
  • There is a possibility of isolated rain and storm over Arunachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
  • Widespread rain and squall is likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep.
