However, the atmosphere of drizzle will remain in North India. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in 8 states of the country today.

The same IMD has issued a warning of heavy rain in different parts of the country till August 25. Apart from central India , some parts of Orissa including Madhya Maharashtra, West Bengal will be affected by heavy rains. Here in Jharkhand it is cloudy. Heavy rain warning has been issued in 20 districts of Odisha . An orange alert has been issued for this. A low pressure area is likely over the Bay of Bengal on Friday. Due to which alert has been declared in many states. The western end of Monsoon Trough is south of its normal position and it is expected to remain like this for next two days. Thereafter, it is expected to move northwards gradually. The Monsoon Trough has returned to its normal position.

However, the Meteorological Department has predicted no rain in the capital Delhi on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has said that the sky will remain cloudy today but the chances of rain are negligible. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of heavy rain in Saurashtra today. Apart from this , an orange alert of rain has been issued in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan today. There is a possibility of rain in West Bengal , Orissa , Jharkhand . In Jharkhand , an alert of heavy rain has been declared in the surrounding areas including Ranchi. Moderate rain has also been predicted in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh till August 23.

Rainfall will continue in Odisha till August 22 while in Jharkhand till August 25. Chances of rain have also been predicted in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh till August 22. Heavy rain has been predicted in many districts of UP today. A yellow alert has been issued for this. Actually, due to the low pressure area, such winds will blow in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in the event of monsoon moving above the truck line. There is a possibility of rain in many districts today. The Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert in Lucknow, Moradabad, Pilibhit including Kanpur, Lakhimpur, Kheri, Sitapur and Bijnor.

An alert has been issued for heavy rains in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa. Chances of rain in Delhi-NCR are negligible today. Rain alert has come in 20 districts of Odisha today. Apart from Saurashtra, Kutch , a rain alert has been declared in Kokan West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal today. On August 18, there is a possibility of torrential rains in the district of Bihar .

The current heavy rains over Gujarat and South Rajasthan are expected to subside in the coming days. Less rain is expected to continue over the southern parts of the peninsula for the next three to four days, except in Tamil Nadu, where isolated heavy rains are expected till August 19.

Very widespread light-moderate rain with isolated heavy falls and lightning predicted over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 19th, Assam and Meghalaya between 19-21 and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 18th is of.
