A new Western Disturbance will be active from March 14. Due to which heavy snowfall and rain can be seen in Himachal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh including Leh, Ladakh and hilly states including the capital Delhi.



Apart from this, changes in the weather are also going to be seen in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh. At present, rain warnings have been issued in many areas of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra for three days.

IMD Alert, Today Weather Update: Due to the activation of many other systems including Western Disturbance, huge changes in the weather are going to be seen in many states. At present, this process is going to continue for 3 to 4 days. After March 12, there will be a rise in the temperature once again. However, heatwave alert has also been issued in the areas. Heat warnings have been issued for these areas. Along with thunder, a warning of hailstorm and thunderstorm was also issued.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, a warning of strong thunderstorms has been issued in many areas of Jharkhand. On the other hand, in eastern Madhya Pradesh Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal and Orissa, a warning of hailstorm with thunder has been issued today. Apart from central and northeast India, rain warning has been issued for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. There is a possibility of showers with thunder and lightning in these areas. Till March 12, the weather will remain like this in the areas. However, after March 12, a rise in temperature has been predicted.

Weather system

Talking about the weather system, the Western Disturbance of the Troposphere is being seen as the debt of the mid-tropospheric level. An induced cyclonic circulation lies over East Rajasthan and neighborhood in the lower tropospheric level.

Due to the second Western Disturbance, a cyclonic circulation has formed over interior Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh up to 1.5 km above sea level. Due to which the weather in Odisha Jharkhand West Bengal can be affected.
Thunderstorm and hailstorm warnings have been issued in these areas. The movement of clouds will continue in the sky. Strong winds were also predicted in the morning and evening.

Upcoming weather system

On the other hand, after the upcoming weather system, a fresh Western Disturbance will affect the Western Himalayan region from March 14. Due to this, some areas of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal, Leh Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh may be affected.

Due to the active weather system, a warning of moderate rain and thundershowers has been issued for Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh today. On March 10 and 11, wind speed up to 30 kmph was forecast at different places in Jharkhand. Along with this, there is a forecast of sprinkling along with thunder and lightning. A rain warning has been issued at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya till March 13.

Strong winds will blow in Delhi

A warning of rain with strong wind was issued in the NCR including the capital Delhi. There is some respite from the heat. The weather remains pleasant in NCR. There is a drop in temperature. The maximum temperature recorded is 14 degree Celsius. The average maximum temperature recorded in Delhi in February is 27°C.

Rain warning in northeast

  • Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in isolated areas of Konkan and Goa.

Heatwave warning in these areas

There are indications of significant change in maximum temperature over Gujarat on 9th March. An increase of 3 to 5 degree Celsius can be seen in the temperature. Apart from this, there will be a huge increase in temperature in Konkan and Goa today and tomorrow. Heatwave warnings have been issued in these areas. People have been advised to be cautious.

Himachal warns of heavy rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand

A warning of hailstorm and rain has been issued in Himachal’s capital Shimla and surrounding areas. There has been a huge drop in the temperature, there are dark clouds in the sky. Snowy wind is blowing at high speed. Shimla city suburbs Shimla, Joginder Nagar, Sunni, Bajura, Kufri recorded rainfall ranging from 2 to 23 mm.

In some districts of Himachal, there is a possibility of drought due to lack of rain in winter and scorching heat.
