Weather Update: There has been a big relief in the states of North India in the last two days. While people are now saying bye to the cold, there has been strong sunlight during the day in many states of North India including UP for the last two days. Rain alert has been issued in nine states of Northeast India today and tomorrow. The Meteorological Department has said that at present the minimum temperature is being recorded between four to eight degrees Celsius in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, North Rajasthan. Whereas in Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh the minimum temperature is between 8-12 degrees. Today’s lowest temperature was 4.2 degrees Celsius in Karnal, Haryana. Cold wave has been observed in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.


It will rain in these states

It may not be raining in the plains of North India, but it is raining in the states of North-East India. The Meteorological Department says that there will be light to moderate rain in West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura on February 7 and 8. Apart from this, there is an alert of light rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Western Rajasthan today. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in Central India between 9-12 February. Apart from this, strong winds with a speed of up to 25 kilometers per hour are expected to prevail in the states of Northwest India for the next two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog in Madhya Pradesh on February 8, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura on February 8 and 9, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim on February 9 and 10. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Eastern and Central India is going to drop by three degrees Celsius for the next three days. Cold wave will prevail in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab on February 7.

Drizzle continues in many areas of Rajasthan

Due to the effect of western disturbance, cloudy weather and drizzle continues in many areas of Rajasthan. Two mm rain was recorded in Jaisalmer in the last 24 hours. According to Meteorological Center Jaipur, there was light rain at some places in western Rajasthan. Apart from Jaisalmer, there was drizzle at many places in Bikaner district also. Maximum rainfall of two mm was recorded in Jaisalmer. Along with this, the minimum temperature was recorded at six degrees in Sangaria, 6.5 degrees in Pilani, seven degrees in Sikar and Karauli, eight degrees in Fatehpur, 8.4 degrees in Sriganganagar and 8.6 degrees Celsius in Churu. The Meteorological Department has also predicted thunder and drizzle in many districts including Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Barmer, Sriganganagar, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Ajmer on Wednesday. There was light cloud cover in the capital Jaipur on Wednesday and the minimum temperature at night was 12.4 degrees Celsius.
