IMD Weather Today: Numerous measures have been taken to combat air pollution in Delhi, but so far, they have proven insufficient. As the mercury drops, the Air Quality Index is steadily declining. The AQI level remains consistently in the severe category, which is a serious health hazard.
IMD Weather Today: All measures to combat air pollution in Delhi-NCR have so far failed. The Air Quality Index (AQI), which measures the severity of air pollution, surpassed 400 on Thursday, October 23, 2025. According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CCB), the AQI in the Anand Vihar area of the capital was recorded at 427. This is extremely serious from a health perspective. An AQI level of 427 falls in the severe category. Various measures were claimed to be taken to combat air pollution in the national capital, Delhi, but it appears they have had no significant impact.
This is why the AQI has crossed the 400 mark in the early days of the winter season.
