New Delhi, Business Desk. If you are a customer of State Bank of India (SBI), then be aware. The bank has warned its customers to avoid cyber attacks. The bank has told customers that fraudsters are stealing their personal and financial information from people by sending fake emails in the name of COVID-19. Sharing a post on Twitter, the bank has asked customers to stay alert. Recently, the cyber cell of Delhi also warned people not to share their bank related information on WhatsApp.

SBI wrote in the tweet, “We have received such information that there are going to be cyber attacks in major cities of India.” The bank said, avoid clicking on emails coming from ncov2019@gov.in, whose subject is given ‘free COVID-19 test’.

Through tweet, SBI said, Cyber ​​criminals have stolen email IDs of about 20 lakh Indians. Hackers are getting their personal and banking information in the name of doing corona test for free from e-mail id ncov2019@gov.in. SBI has specifically asked the people of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai Hyderabad and Ahmedabad to be careful about fake e-mails.

It is noteworthy that in 2016, there were cyber attacks on Indian banking institutions, which affected many ATMs of the country. The hackers stole all confidential information including debit card PINs.

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a warning in this regard, advising every government department and institution to avoid it.
