ICICI Bank New Fraud Alert: In view of the ever-evolving scenario of banking fraud, ICICI Bank has implemented a new approach to alert its customers about this type of activity.

The banking industry has become digital, making people’s work easier. Many of these processes that once required a visit to a bank branch can now be completed quickly and easily from the comfort of home. But this also means that the risk has increased. Fraud related to digital banking is becoming common. The fact that violent criminals always come up with new ways to trick innocent people and steal their savings and hard-earned money is what makes them the most dangerous. Private sector bank ICICI Bank has alerted its customers about one such new technology.

Job frauds are sophisticated ones, offering fictitious job opportunities to job seekers through online services using websites or through fake e-mails, posing as recruiters in an attempt to steal your money and identity.

How to spot fake job offers?

• Unprofessional e-mails

• Vague job description and job requirements

• Requires you to pay money to get the job

• Job is offered even when not applied.

Keep these points in mind!

• Do not share your financial details, such as your Bank Account details or credentials

• Do not pay for anything if the recruiter asks you to do so, even if the amount is very small.

Please remember to report such frauds immediately to the National Cyber Crime at cybercrime.gov.in or call the helpline on 1930.

We at ICICI Bank believe in helping our customers to manage and protect their money.
