IBPS PO Pre Exam 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment process is a golden opportunity for candidates who want to work in the banking sector. Applications for this have been made long ago and candidates were waiting for the release of admit cards for its preliminary examination. Their wait is now over and IBPS has released the admit cards for the PO prelims exam on its official website ibps.in. The window to download the admit card will remain open till August 24.
Candidates can download the IBPS PO Prelims Admit Card using their Registration Number/Roll Number and Password/Date of Birth. This recruitment drive is being conducted for 5,208 Probationary Officer posts. The candidates will be selected in three stages namely Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Personal Interview. Candidates who qualify the IBPS PO Prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam. The candidates who qualify will then be shortlisted and then called for an interview. The detailed syllabus, exam pattern and other details of the Prelims exam are available in the notification provided on the official website.
The preliminary examination will consist of three parts
- English Language (30 questions, 30 marks, 20 minutes)
- Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions, 30 marks, 20 minutes)
- Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 40 marks, 20 minutes)
How to download admit card
- Visit the official website ibps.in
- Open the PO Preliminary Exam Admit Card or Call Letter download link
- Enter the requested information and login
- Submit and download the admit card.
After downloading the admit card, candidates should check that the personal details like name, photo, signature etc. are printed correctly. In case of any error or mistake in the admit card, the institute should be informed immediately. An information booklet has also been issued for the candidates along with the admit card. Candidates should read the handout for more information about the exam.
When will the exam be held
IBPS PO Pre Exam 2025 will be conducted online at online exam centers. These exams will be held on 17th, 23rd and 24th August at select centers across the country. On the day of the exam, candidates will be required to carry their admit card, a valid photo ID and a recent passport size photo. Without the admit card, candidates will not be able to enter the exam center.

IBPS had released a notification on 30 June 2025 announcing the recruitment of 5,208 Probationary Officer (PO) posts in 11 government banks. These government banks include Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Bank and Punjab & Sind Bank.
