The Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry has taken strict action against 18 OTT platforms. The ministry blocked them after repeated warnings. Due to lewd and obscene content, the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry has taken strict action against 18 OTT platforms. Union Minister Anurag Thakur gave this information today on March 14. He said that despite several warnings, these platforms did not improve themselves, so now they are being blocked. The OTT apps on which action has been taken include Dream Films, Voovi, Yessma, Uncut Adda, Tri Flicks, X Prime, Neon X VIP. (Neon These include Fugi, Chikooflix and Prime Play.

These apps have huge reach

Some of the OTT apps that have been blocked by the Union Ministry have a very deep reach. Out of these, one app has more than 1 crore downloads while there are two such apps which have more than 50 lakh downloads on Google Play Store. Talking about social media platforms, according to the ministry, all these apps together have more than 32 lakh followers.
