New Delhi, Auto Desk. The Hyundai Elantra is coming to the Indian market in its BS6 diesel avatar soon. The company has listed it on the official website. However, the South Korean carmaker will soon announce its prices. Apart from this, this sedan looks similar to the petrol model. The BS6 Elantra diesel will come in two variants – SX MT and SX (O) AT. However, it is available in three versions SX MT, SX AT and SX (O) AT with petrol engine. The company will launch this vehicle in the coming few days.
In appearance, this sedan will come with a bold and sporty design. It gets a hexagonal grille with an angular front profile, a muscular front bonnet and triangular LED headlamps, fog lamp housing, side-indicators with ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, shark-fin antennas, LED taillights and more. . In addition, it has 5 exterior tones – Fairy Red, Marina Blue, Phantom Black, Polar White and Typhoon Silver.
Talking about the interior features, it has a dual-tone black and seed interior. In addition, it has ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, controls with steering wheel, door scuff plates, MID with color instrument clusters, rear AC vents, cup holders with rear armrest and more. Along with this, it has features such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, electric sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Speaking of power specifications, this sedan comes with a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine with BS6 standards. This engine generates power of 113 bhp and torque of 250 Nm at 1,500-2,750 rpm. Talking about the transmission, it has a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. Along with this, the Elantra has a petrol BS6 2.0 liter engine, which generates 150 bhp power and torque of 192 Nm. This engine comes with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
