New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has launched a new registration mark i.e. Bharat Series- BH Series to facilitate the removal of bottlenecks in the transfer of vehicles. The Ministry of Transport has said that if the owner shifts from one state to another, then he will not need to get a new registration (BH Series Vehicle Registration) for the vehicle with BH mark.

Who will get more benefit?

Defense personnel, employees of Central and State Governments, PSUs and employees of private sector companies and institutions having offices in 4 or more states can get their private vehicles registered in BH (India) series. This scheme notified by the government is voluntary. The registration mark of BH Series will be ‘YYBh ####XX’. YY i.e. from the year of first registration. BH will be the code for Bharat Series. #### will be a four digit number and XX will be a two letter.

New Registration Mark Bharat Series

It is worth noting that this is a good initiative based on IT for registration of vehicles. Transfer from one state to another required re-registration of vehicles, which was a very troublesome task. The Ministry has introduced a new registration mark Bharat Series for the registration of new vehicles through a notification issued on August 26, 2021.

Follow these steps for vehicle registration

Step 1: Vehicle owners will need a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the first parent state to get a new registration mark in another state.
Step 2: Once the road tax is paid on pro-rata basis in the new state, a new registration mark will be assigned.
Step 3: In the third step, you have to file an application for refund of road tax in the parent state. The process of getting refund from the parent state is very complicated.

8% tax on 10 lakh car
