Heavy Rain Alert: In the next 48 to 72 hours, these states are likely to face heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorm alert

Heavy Rain Alert: Many parts of the country may receive heavy to very heavy rains in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rains in northwest India for the next 2 to 3 days and in central India for the next 4 to 5 days. The IMD forecasts that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh for 48 to 72 hours.

Heavy rain continues in Delhi

Delhi-NCR received heavy rains on Thursday. Torrential rains have brought relief to people from the heat. But, due to the rain, waterlogging and traffic jams were seen at many places. On Thursday, it rained in many areas including Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad. Due to heavy rains, the road collapsed at many places. The India Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in Delhi dropped to 23 degrees Celsius, which is 4.3 degrees Celsius below normal in this season. The IMD has predicted cloudy weather and moderate rain throughout the day today.

Life in Rajasthan is in trouble due to heavy rains

Monsoon is fully active in Rajasthan. Heavy rains are occurring in many areas. Heavy to very heavy rains were recorded at many places in the last 24 hours. The Jaipur center of IMD said that in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning, some places in Rajasthan received moderate to heavy and sometimes very heavy rains. According to the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall of 163.0 mm was recorded in Nasirabad. Whereas, Kotputli received 150 mm and Behror received 110 mm of rain. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in eastern Rajasthan from July 10 and in western Rajasthan from July 12.

Himachal Pradesh is raining like a disaster

Himachal Pradesh has been raining like a disaster for the past few days. Due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh, 245 roads including the Mandi-Dharampur section of National Highway-3 are blocked. In Mandi, 15 people died in disasters like 10 cloudburst incidents, flash floods and landslides in the night between June 30 and July 1. Heavy rains were recorded at some places in Sirmaur and Bilaspur districts.

Rain continues in many areas of Uttarakhand

Intermittent rain is falling in various areas of Uttarakhand. Due to heavy rains in the past few days, many rivers are in spate. One person died due to drowning in a spate river in Dehradun. Heavy to very heavy rains have been recorded at many places in the state including Dehradun during the last 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, 118 mm of rain was recorded in Hathibarkala of Dehradun city and 106 mm in Karanpur, 130.2 mm in Mussoorie, 88 mm in Dunda of Uttarkashi district, 101 mm in Haldwani of Nainital district.
