The weather in Madhya Pradesh is set to change once again. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy to torrential rain in 18 districts of the state for the next 24 hours.
According to the department, due to the activation of a new system, many areas will remain cloudy and heavy rain along with thunderstorms is possible. According to the Meteorological Department’s report, the districts where heavy rain is expected include Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Dhar, Jhabua, Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Dewas, Agar-Malwa, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Sehore, Harda, Narmadapuram, Burhanpur and Alirajpur. There is also a possibility of lightning and strong winds at some places in these districts.
The cold has set in, bringing out blankets and sweaters.
The weather has taken a turn in Madhya Pradesh. Mild morning chills and cool night winds indicate that winter is slowly approaching. In many districts, people have begun to take out their warm clothing. Even though the sun shines brightly during the day, the morning and late evening weather has become chillier. Decreasing humidity and changing wind direction have gradually increased the impact of the cold in the state.
Monsoon’s departure continues
The southwest monsoon is now preparing to bid farewell to Madhya Pradesh. Districts like Jabalpur, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ujjain, and Guna have already officially departed. The Meteorological Department predicts that this system will retreat from the entire state within the next three to four days. With the monsoon’s return, the skies have begun to clear, and a slight chill has settled in the air.
Sunshine during the day, cold at night
The state’s weather is currently displaying two colors. The sun shines with all its heat during the day, while at night, the temperature drops, bringing a slight chill. In cities like Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur, the morning air has grown cooler. Drops of dew have appeared in fields and gardens. This is the time when people feel a change in the weather—neither heat nor cold, but simply a pleasant coolness that soothes the heart.
The new system will be active from October 14.
Although the monsoon has now withdrawn, the Meteorological Department has stated that a new weather system may re-activate around October 14th. This could bring light rain or drizzle to some areas of the state, especially in the eastern and southern districts. This rain will be very light, but it could make the weather more pleasant.
Cold winds and drop in temperature in the coming days
According to meteorologists, minimum temperatures are now expected to gradually drop. Currently, maximum temperatures remain normal, but nights are becoming colder. In districts like Gwalior, Shivpuri, Morena, Agar-Malwa, Ujjain, and Ratlam, night temperatures could reach 18 degrees Celsius in the next few days. This means that the cold winds are now making people yearn for blankets and quilts.
There is no significant chance of rain, but the weather will remain pleasant.
There is no possibility of heavy rain in any part of the state at this time. The Meteorological Department has clarified that the sky will remain mostly clear for the next five days, although light showers may occur in some areas. This drizzle will not cause any problems, but will instead increase the cold. Overall, Madhya Pradesh is now experiencing the departure of monsoon and the arrival of winter simultaneously.
