HDFC Bank FD Interest Changed: HDFC Bank has cut its FD interest rates by up to 20 basis points (BPS). This change made by the bank is applicable on FDs of less than Rs 3 crore.

HDFC Bank FD Interest Changed: The Reserve Bank will review the monetary policy in the first week of June. Experts are hoping that this time too the RBI may cut the repo rate to reduce the interest rate. Even before this, many banks have cut their interest rates. In this sequence, now HDFC Bank has cut its FD interest rates by up to 20 basis points (BPS). This change made by the bank is applicable on FDs of less than Rs 3 crore. The new rates have been implemented from 23 May 2025. Earlier in April 2025, the bank had cut the FD rate by 50 basis points.

FD interest rates have become between 3% to 6.85%

After the cut made by the bank, the interest rates of FD for normal people have become between 3% to 6.85%. For senior citizens, this rate is between 3.5% to 7.35%. Earlier, the interest rates for normal people were 3% to 7.10% and for senior citizens it was 3.5% to 7.55%. HDFC Bank has cut the interest rates for certain periods.

10 basis point cut on FDs of less than 15 months

Under the new rate, the interest rate on FDs of less than one year to 15 months for normal people has been reduced from 6.60% to 6.50%. That is, the bank has cut it by 10 basis points. The interest rate on FDs of less than 18 months to 21 months has been reduced from 7.05% to 6.85%, there has been a cut of 20 basis points. Similarly, the interest rate on FDs of two years 1 day to 3 years has been reduced from 6.90% to 6.70%.

The highest interest rate is 7.35%

For senior citizens, the interest rate on FDs of less than Rs 3 crore is between 3.5% to 7.35%. The highest interest rate is 7.35%, which is for tenures of more than 18 months and less than 21 months. HDFC Bank has also updated the interest rate of Recurring Deposit (RD). For normal people, the interest rate of RD is between 4.50% to 6.85%. For senior citizens, this rate is between 5% to 7.35%.
