Delhi Karnal Rapid Metro The ambitious project of bringing Rapid Metro to Karnal is progressing towards completion. Under this project, the plan to bring this Rapid Metro along the railway line from Delhi to Karnal was also considered.

But considering the convenience of the public and other points, it was rejected. Now this project will be built on the side of the highway. So it will be more convenient for the people. There is a large population around the highway in terms of Karnal. It will also be easy for people from neighboring districts to reach here.

However, the work of starting this project at the primary level has also been completed. The process of soil testing for drone survey and pillar installation was already completed. Earlier this project was till Panipat, but due to the efforts of CM Manohar Lal it was extended till Karnal.

Rapid Metro-Kalyan will come along with the highway

Gharaunda MLA Harvindra Kalyan says that under this project, the aspect of bringing Rapid Metro along with the railway line had also come to the fore, but it could not materialise. Keeping in view the convenience of the public and other points, it will be built along the highway. He said that this project is coming up to Karnal only due to the efforts of the CM. Approval for this project has been received by the state government. Work is going on in full swing on this project.

17 stations to be built from Karnal to Delhi

Last year, it was known from the drone survey that where the track of the train will pass through this project. While the pillars will be taken up to 30 feet inside the ground. After this, the train line will be laid on these. Now the detail project report from Panipat to Karnal has also been almost finalized. Under this project, it has been decided that 17 stations will be built from Karnal to Delhi.

Rajdhani will reach in an hour

It takes about two and a half hours by bus or train to reach Delhi from Karnal. After the completion of this project, this journey will be covered in just one hour and few minutes. Last year, the Delhi-Panipat Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) got approval from the government. Although earlier this project was from Delhi to Panipat, but due to the efforts of the state government, this project was extended till Karnal. The possibility of this work being done at a fast pace is also due to the fact that when the first project from Delhi to Panipat was made, then its work was done rapidly. Stations and routes were fixed and DPR was also prepared.

Stations will be built in Baldi Bypass, Uncha Samana and Gharaunda

A total of 17 stations are proposed to be built in the project from Delhi to Karnal. Coming from Panipat side in Karnal district, the first station will be built at Gharaunda. After this, a station for boarding the train will be built at Uncha Samana. While the third station will be near Baldi bypass. All three places are along the highway. If the nearby villagers will get the benefit of Uncha Samana station, then the station can also be reached through the highway. While the station of Baldi bypass will be near the new bus stand. People coming here in buses from other districts will be able to enjoy the train journey to Delhi. Whereas Gharaunda station will also be beneficial for the people.

Service will be available in six to 10 minutes

The special thing about this project is that people will not have to wait much for the train. Because in between six to 10 minutes the train will be available at the station. 250 people will be able to board the train at a time.
