Remove non-essential applications from access. If you have given third-party apps access to your account, they can also leak your information under an agreement. Therefore it is advised that you keep cleaning your account regularly and remove access from any non-essential app. Go to your account settings and then the applications section and revoke access from any third-party application that you no longer use.

Use a trusted browser: If you do not use a reliable and up-to-date browser, you may be caught in the trap of a phishing attack. During a phishing attack, a hacker uses specialized software that attaches itself to the browser and taps on your keystrokes and used websites, and then sends that data back to the hacker.
