H-1B Visa Registration: The process of registration of H-1B visa for the financial year 2024 has started from March 1, 2023. This entire process will continue till March 17, 2023. US Citizenship and Immigration Service (US Citizenship and Immigration Service – USCIS) has given this information through a press release. Will provide a confirmation number for registration. This number will only be used to track the registration. One cannot use this number to track the case status.

This visa is most sought after by Indian IT professionals. H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa. Which allows US companies to recruit foreign workers in specialized specialized professions. IT companies depend on it to recruit thousands of employees every year from countries like India and China.

You can apply from March 1 to March 17

USCIS said that H-1B visa forms will be accepted from March 1 to March 17. H-1B visa holders are allowed to work in the US for 6 years in specific sectors like engineering and medical. After 6 years the path opens for permanent residence or green card. To register electronically, you must use a myUSCIS Online account. Along with this, 10 dollars will have to be paid for registration. Explain that America issues 85,000 H-1B visas every year. Of which 20,000 visas have been set aside for workers with advanced degrees from American institutions. The remaining 65,000 visas are issued through a lottery system.

Highest demand for H-1B visa

The demand for H-1B visas remains the highest. In such a situation, there is a demand for reform in the H-1B program. Many are advocating increasing the number of existing visas and simplifying the application process. In FY 2021, Indians got more than 74 per cent of the allocation for H-1B visas.
