GST New Rate: The new revised rate of GST is going to be implemented across the country from September 22. With this, many electronic items will become cheaper. But, not all electronic items are included in the list of goods that will become cheaper due to reduction in GST.
Only the price of air conditioners (AC), TV and dishwasher will decrease. Whereas, there is going to be no change in the prices of refrigerators, washing machines and microwave ovens.

18% GST will be imposed instead of 28%
It should be noted that GST has been reduced only on those products on which 28% GST is levied. For example, 28% GST is levied on air conditioners (AC), TV and dishwashers, but from 22 September only 18% GST will be levied. Due to this, these electronic items will become cheaper. Whereas, there is no change in the prices of refrigerators, washing machines and microwave ovens. GST on these products will be 18% as before. If you want to buy a refrigerator, washing machine and oven, you can buy it now. There is no need to wait for this.
You will save around 4 thousand rupees in buying a TV
Currently, people have to pay around Rs 50,000 for a 55-inch TV with 28 percent GST. In this, people have to pay Rs 10,937.5 as GST. Whereas, after 18 percent GST, there will be a saving of about Rs 3,906. Similarly, Rs 51,000 have to be paid for a dishwasher with 28 percent GST. In this, GST is Rs 11,156.25.
Whereas, after the implementation of 18 percent GST, GST will be Rs 7171.88. Thus, a total of Rs 3984.38 will have to be paid less. At the same time, a total of Rs 35,000 has to be paid for a 1.5 ton AC. Rs 7656.25 has to be paid as 28 percent GST. At the same time, after 18 percent GST, you will have to pay Rs 4921.88 and Rs 32,265.63 as the price of AC. While talking about savings, there will be a total saving of Rs 2734.38.
