Ministry of Defense has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited to provide online pension services at over four lakh Common Service Centers across the country.
In a statement, the ministry said that the MoU will enable pensioners, especially those residing in remote areas of the country and who do not have the means or technical means to ‘log on’ the system for Pension Administration-Raksha (Sparsh) will provide connectivity.
It mentioned, “These service centers for these pensioners will become an interface for ‘Sparsh’ and will enable pensioners to request profile update, lodge complaint and redress, digital annual identification, pensioner data verification or detailed information about their monthly pension.” will provide an effective medium for obtaining information.
The statement said that ‘Sparsh’ has been designed keeping in mind the convenience of defense pensioners who will be given completely transparent details of their pension account through an online portal.
“It maintains the complete history of pensioners’ details and entitlements – from the date of commencement of pension to the date of termination of pension to the last eligible beneficiary,” the ministry said.
