The government has given a big gift to lakhs of employees in the new year. Actually, the government has increased the dearness allowance by 3 percent.

Let us tell you that the Himachal Pradesh government has increased the dearness allowance. Now the government employees there will get 3 percent more dearness allowance than before. State Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has announced 31 percent dearness allowance.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that recently new pay scales have been implemented to ensure benefits of Rs.6000 crores for state government employees.

CM has announced to give 3 percent additional dearness allowance to the employees. From now on, the employees of the state will get the benefit of 31 percent dearness allowance. 500 crores will be spent from the government exchequer on this.

Earlier, dearness allowance was being given to the employees at the rate of 28 percent. Apart from this, the limit of annual income for taking benefit of welfare schemes and pension has also been increased from Rs 35000 to Rs 50,000.

Apart from this, if we talk about the central government employees, then according to the AICPI index, these employees are being given dearness allowance at the rate of 33 percent till September 2021. Accordingly, their dearness allowance has increased by about 2 percent.

By December 2021, if the CPI figure remains up to 125, then the dearness allowance may increase by 3 percent. If the central government increases the DA by 3 percent, then the dearness allowance to the employees may increase from 31 percent to 34 percent. Its payment will be from January 2022.
