Scheme launched in 2017
The name of this scheme run by the Modi government is ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana’. Under this, financial assistance of Rs 5000 is given. This scheme was launched on January 2017.

Who gets this amount
Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana’, financial assistance is given to women who are pregnant and lactating for the first time. The scheme is also known as ‘Pradhan Mantri Pregnancy Assistance Scheme’.

The amount is given in 3 installments
To get the benefit of the scheme, it is necessary for the pregnant and her husband to have aadhar card, bank passbook photostat for registration for the first time pregnant. Bank account should not be joint. 5000 rupees are given to the pregnant woman in 3 installments.

Money comes in woman’s account
The objective of the scheme is to provide nutrition to women who are becoming mothers for the first time. Out of 5000 rupees, the first installment is 1000 rupees, the second installment is 2000 rupees and the third installment is 2000 rupees. Women doing government jobs cannot take advantage of this scheme.

How to apply
You can apply under PM Matritva Vandana Yojana through ASHA or ANM. You can also apply online for this. The benefit of the scheme is provided to all women. Whether their delivery took place in a government hospital or in a private hospital.
