New Delhi: Taking a big decision, the Central Government has extended the tenure of Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das for three years. Now Shaktikanta Das will continue as the Governor of RBI for the next 3 years. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved this decision late on Thursday night.

The term was to end on December 10

The term of RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das was supposed to end on December 10 this year, but now the Cabinet Appointments Committee has approved his stay as RBI governor for the next three years. Shaktikanta Das will be appointed as the 26th Governor on December 10.
