Taking another big step towards women empowerment, the Bihar government has approved the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana’. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to a woman from all the families of the state to start employment of her choice. This step will help the women of the state to become self-reliant and strengthen the financial condition of the family with their hard work.
The government believes that this scheme will not only strengthen the position of women but will also create better employment opportunities within the state itself, so that people will not be forced to go out of the state for employment.
‘Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme’
Since the formation of the government in November 2005, the Bihar government has worked extensively for women empowerment. Taking this mission forward, the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana’ has been approved in the cabinet meeting today. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to one woman from every family in the state to start employment.
First of all, as financial assistance, one woman from all the families will be given an amount of Rs 10,000 as the first installment to start employment of her choice. The process of receiving applications from interested women for this amount will be started soon. The entire system and process of this scheme will be determined by the Rural Development Department and for this, the cooperation of the Urban Development and Housing Department will also be taken as per the need.
