The central government revises the dearness allowance of its employees twice. This time if it is revised in July, then government employees will soon get great news, again their dearness allowance can be increased by the central government, know full details

Central Government: The Central Government is once again going to give great news to the government employees. The government can once again increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of employees and pensioners. AICPI (All India Consumer Price Index) has increased by 1 percent in March 2022 after decreasing for 2 consecutive months, so the possibilities of increasing DA by the government have increased significantly. Now the central government will review it in July. However, the AICPI figures for April, May and June are yet to come. Only after that it will be decided.

According to media reports the government can increase the DA by 3 percent in July. It is worth noting that in view of rising inflation, DA is increased every year in January and July. However, if inflation has not increased, then it is not increased either.

Dearness allowance of central employees was increased in January

In January this year, the central government had increased the DA by three percent. Now if the AICPI shows an increase in April, May and June, then the government can again increase the DA by 3 percent. Let us tell you that there was a slight decline in this data in January and February but it has increased again in March.

At the same time, in January, the AICPI had come down by 0.3 per cent to 125.1 from December 2021. At the same time, in July, there was a decline of .1 percent again. However, in March there has been a straight 1 percent jump in it and it has reached 126 points. At present DA is 34 per cent and this time if there is an increase then it can be 37 per cent. This will benefit more than 50 lakh government employees and 65 lakh pensioners.

Dearness allowance was not increased for one and a half year

The central government had stopped the DA increase for about 1.5 years to reduce the financial pressure after the Corona period. The Center again increased dearness allowance and dearness relief from 17 per cent to 28 per cent in July 2021. After this, DA was increased again in October 2021. Due to which dearness allowance became 31 percent. Let us tell you that the dearness allowance of the employees is revised twice every year. First in January and second time in July.
