The ongoing talks regarding five days work a week and salary hike have now reached the final stage. In this matter, talks were held between bank unions and Indian Bank Association on Thursday. Know how much your salary can increase.
Indian Bank Association has recommended increasing the salary by 15 percent. However, bank unions are demanding more hike.
As far as working five days a week and two days off is concerned, this too has been given a green signal by the government and it has been said that there is no problem in doing so.
It is expected that the government will make both these announcements by the end of this year i.e. before the elections. Actually, bank unions have been demanding 5 days working for a long time. This demand had gained momentum since the government had implemented the rule of 5 days working in Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
