New Delhi. Google has launched digital wallet, Google Wallet in India. In this, users will get the facility to keep loyalty cards and gift cards, public vehicle passes and other things. Digital wallet service has started in India from Wednesday. Now ‘Google Wallet’ can be downloaded from Play Store. At the same time, the company has clarified that even after the arrival of the wallet in India, Google Pay will not be stopped and it will continue to work as before. Google says that Google Wallet has been specifically designed for non-payment use cases.

According to a report in news agency Bhasha, Google’s General Manager and India Engineering Lead (Android) Ram Papatla said that the purpose of this service is to create “a software where OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and developers can create better products.” ”For this new service, Google has partnered with 20 Indian brands like Air India, Indigo, Flipkart, Pine Labs, Kochi Metro, PVR and Inox. It plans to forge more collaborations in the coming months. Ram Papatala said, “Google is not going anywhere. This will continue to be our primary payments app. Google Wallet is specifically designed for non-payment use cases.

Google Wallet will give users the option to store movie/concert tickets, boarding passes, metro tickets, office/corporate badges and digitize physical documents. Papatala said, “Google Wallet is built on the basis of security and privacy. Google is committed to its promise of providing openness, choice and security. ‘Google Wallet’ services are currently being provided in about 80 countries.

There will be no payment

You cannot make payment through Google Wallet. Many people thought that it would be able to make payments like Paytm Wallet or Amazon Wallet, whereas it is not so. Google Wallet was first launched in the year 2011. After this, in the year 2018, it was replaced by Google Pay in many markets.
