Indian app giving more than 2000 loans has been banned by Google. A senior company official said that action has been taken against these apps for violation of conditions, misrepresentation of information and suspicious offline behavior.


New Delhi. The screws are being tightened on the lenders through the app. Tech giant Google has removed more than 2,000 loan apps from India’s Play Store since January this year.

Saikat Mitra, Google’s senior director and head of trust and safety, Asia Pacific, said the company is committed to complying with regulations in all regions in which it operates.
