Giant tech company Google may once again do layoffs. This time around 30,000 employees are expected to lose their jobs due to Artificial Intelligence (AI). What is Google’s plan?

According to a recent report by The Information, Google is preparing to integrate AI into many aspects of its business processes. Due to this, the company may decide to drastically reduce its workforce. About 30,000 employees are expected to be affected by this.

This re-structuring is expected to mainly impact Google’s ad sales department, where the company is preparing to leverage AI for operational efficiency. Apart from ad sales, Google can also use AI in customer support service. The use of AI in customer support is likely to have a direct impact on the human-centric aspects of a company’s operations.

A year ago, 12,000 employees were laid off.

Talking about these changes, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has accepted the need to reorganize the business. Let us tell you that the company has already fired about 12000 employees. This decision was taken a year ago i.e. in December 2022. This was the biggest layoff in the company’s history.
