Two of the country’s leading IT companies TCS and Infosys have recruited 1,90,000 freshers in the last financial year 2021-21. In the current financial year also, both the companies have talked about doing bumper recruitments. This shows that the IT sector will continue to be the top recruiter of the country.

There will be new recruitment in all sectors,
Not only in the IT sector, but this year there will be a lot of employment opportunities in the telecom, FMCG, e-commerce, e-mobility, pharma, education, engineering, retail and logistics sectors as well. Companies in these areas will also give a lot of jobs.

According to Vidya Sagar Ganamani, CMD of the expanding

Companies in the consumer goods and manufacturing sector have also made a lot of new recruitments and will continue to do so. Apart from these, pharma and health companies are also expanding and recruiting new employees.

According to data from staffing and human resources firm TeamLease Services, there has been a jump in the recruitment done by India Inc. There is every possibility that it will continue in the future as well. In the January-March 2022 quarter, there has been an increase of 27 per cent in new recruitments, which is expected to increase to 54 per cent in April-June 2022.

Strong Hiring Sentiment

Job websites Monster.com and Naukri.com have also given positive signs of new recruitment in all sectors. Naukri.com says that the hiring sentiment remains strong as the situation normalises after Kovid-19. Banking, financial and insurance sectors have come out of the phase of Kovid-19 and have gained momentum. According to monster.com, the annual growth of new jobs in the country’s BFSI industry has increased by 27 percent by the end of February 2022.

However, there are still some areas in which improvement will take time. Consulting, advertising, non-essential retail sectors such as luxury goods, home furnishing and travel accessories and parts of the hospitality sector will take a few more months to pick up pace.
