Soon there will be no need to go to the store to get a new SIM card. Home delivery of the SIM will be possible and self-KYC will have to be done to activate the number. Let’s know how…

In the new era, everything has become online. Many government and private services are available on the Internet. Till now we had to go to the shop to get a new SIM card. But now the government has given relief to the people in this too. Now you can do home delivery of SIM card and do self KYC to activate the number. The government has asked mobile operators to offer the facility of getting KYC done at home through the app.

DoT has issued guidelines for Self-KYC as an alternative process for issuing new mobile connections to individual and outstation customers. Till now people had to go to the shop to get the SIM card. To get KYC done, a copy of PAN card or Aadhar card had to be submitted. But this will get rid of all these works.

How to do Self-KYC?

The Department of Telecom has appealed to the people to adopt the process of self-KYC. To get a mobile SIM, the user has to download the company’s mobile app. For registration, the customer will have to provide his alternate number. If there is no alternate number, a relative’s number is also valid. After receiving OTP on that number, the user will be registered. Customers will be able to login through OTP.

Required documents to be uploaded yourself

The customer himself will have to complete the self-KYC process by uploading the required documents on the app. For information, let us tell you that major telecom companies like Reliance Jio and Airtel are already doing home delivery of SIM. Vodafone-Idea is also doing home delivery of SIM. Those who do not have this information, they are still going to the shop and getting the new SIM and KYC done.
