Kisan Loan Portal will help farmers to get subsidized loan under Kisan Credit Card (KCC).
New Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday launched ‘Kisan Loan Portal’ giving a big gift to the farmers.

With the help of this portal, it will help in getting subsidized loan under Kisan Credit Card (KCC). After this, farmers will get all the information related to loan distribution, interest and this scheme. Earlier this facility was not available on the portal.


According to the Agriculture Ministry, the Kisan Loan digital platform provides a comprehensive view of farmer data, loan disbursement specifications, interest subvention claims and scheme utilization progress, promoting seamless integration with banks for more focused and efficient agricultural credit. gives.

7.35 crore KCC accounts in the country

A statement said that as of March 30, there are about 7.35 crore KCC accounts, whose total sanctioned limit is Rs 8.85 lakh crore. According to government data, the government has distributed agricultural loans worth Rs 6,573.50 crore at concessional interest rates during April-August in the current financial year.

The door-to-door campaign to extend the benefits of KCC will reach out to non-KCC holders of the central scheme ‘PM-KISAN’, under which Rs 6,000 is given annually in the bank account of each identified beneficiary farmer.

At the same time, in the WINDS portal, apart from crop risk mitigation and disaster risk reduction measures and non-plan parametric insurance programs run by the insurance industry, information about the Ministry’s Parametric Crop Insurance Scheme will also be available.

What is Kisan Credit Card Scheme?

Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme was started in 1998. Under this scheme, loans are provided to farmers by banks at an interest rate of 4%. This scheme was started by the Government of India, Reserve Bank of India and NABARD. All farmers of India are eligible to take loan under Kisan Credit Card Scheme.
