UP Anganwadi workers Salary Hike 2021: In addition to the honorarium to Anganwadi workers, an incentive of Rs 1500 per month, Rs 1250 to mini Anganwadi workers and Rs 750 per month to Anganwadi helpers will be given.
With this, the honorarium of Anganwadis will now be Rs 7000, that of mini Anganwadis will be 5500 and that of Anganwadi helpers will be Rs 4000. The state government has set standards by linking it with performance. In this regard, V Hekali Jhimomi, Principal Secretary, Child Development and Nutrition Department has issued an order on Tuesday. About 3.70 lakh workers and helpers will get benefit from this order. This benefit will be given along with the honorarium of September.
The state government had recently announced to increase the honorarium in the supplementary budget . In supplementary nutrition, on distribution of 100 percent nutrition per month to all registered beneficiaries, an incentive amount of Rs 500-500 will be given to Anganwadi and mini Anganwadi workers and Rs 400 per month to helpers.
At the same time, for all registered beneficiaries, on completion of 100% feeding of all areas on the nutrition tracker every month, Rs 1000 will be given to Anganwadi workers, Rs 750 to mini Anganwadi workers and Rs 350 to helpers. If both the standards are met, Rs 1500 will be given to Anganwadi workers, Rs 1250 to mini Anganwadi workers and Rs 750 to helpers along with honorarium.
The decision to give incentive amount to Anganwadi workers on the basis of performance was taken in 2019 but it could not be implemented at that time. The intention of the department was that by linking performance with incentives, everyone would try to do excellent work in their fields and would help in eradicating malnutrition from the state. The government has implemented it in the election year.
