DA Hike Update : Employees of 5th pay scale will get DA at the rate of 427%, 6th pay scale employees will get 230%, State Finance Department issued orders.

Thackeray took the decision after a meeting with the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD), the apex association of resident doctors of all government medical colleges and hospitals in the state. As per the decision, Rs 1,21,000 will be given to each of the resident doctors of government and municipal medical colleges as well as government Ayurveda colleges. Meanwhile Dr. Dnyaneshwar Dhoble (Central MARD President) thanked CM Thackeray after the announcement.


Earlier, the agitating resident doctors, who started an indefinite strike on Friday, demanded complete waiver of fees. There was a demand to stop the collection of taxes from the stipend for the hostel fees. About which he claims that his condition is bad. The employees had also sought exposure incentives for the services provided during the pandemic.

A delegation of MARD met Thackeray and he had asked the administration to immediately look into the demands made by MARD and find a suitable solution. MARD called off the strike after the meeting. Dr. Dnyaneshwar Dhoble Patil said that we met the CM in the afternoon. We discussed the issues we are facing. They have assured us that our demands will be met within a month.
