There is good news for the account holders of Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative (PMC) Bank. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) plans to release the mortgaged assets of Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL) with PMC Bank. This will reduce the liability of Centrum from the payments made to the account holders.

These claims will be settled in accordance with Section 18A of the said Act and the procedure of the Corporation. Regarding the insurance amount of the account holders, instructions have been given to these banks that the claim of the insurance holders should be deposited within 45 days. So that the process of sending money to these account holders can be completed soon. These claims will be verified and settled by DICGC (November 29, 2021) within the next 45 days.

these banks will have to give the claim list by October 15, 2021 and in the final list on November 29, 2021 (with principal and interest) so that the DICGC can settle the claim and discharge its insurance. The payment will be made within 30 days of receipt i.e. by December 29, 2021.
